Uzbekistan + Tajikistan

25 DAYS | €8100 | COMFORT & ADVENTURE | GROUP MAX 12

25 Days | From €8100 Twin Share

This photography adventure will take you through the heart of Central Asia, exploring the captivating landscapes and rich cultural heritage of both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

This particular trip offers a unique blend of experiences, from the intricate architecture and bustling bazaars of Uzbekistan’s ancient Silk Road cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.

Then, we’ll venture into the remote, awe-inspiring mountain vistas and serene villages of Tajikistan, where the Pamir Highway and Wakan Corridor reveal the region’s untamed beauty.

As you traverse these two contrasting yet complementary countries, your camera will capture everything from the grandeur of turquoise-domed mosques and centuries-old madrasahs to the raw, majestic peaks and high-altitude lakes of the Pamir Mountains.

Without a doubt, you’ll leave the region with memory cards stuffed with photos. But, we’ll also make sure you create unforgettable memories too.

TRVL° Trip Style

Comfort & Adventure Series: This is a mixed comfort & adventure series trip. Uzbekistan falls under ‘Comfort’ and Tajikistan under ‘Adventure’.

Comfortable Adventure: The TRVL° Photography Comfort Series blends discovery with ease, offering journeys that immerse photographers in inspiring destinations without sacrificing rest or relaxation. These trips are designed for those who seek meaningful adventure with a gentler edge. Capturing remarkable stories while enjoying comfortable accommodations, smooth travel, and a pace that prioritises both creativity and comfort.

Adventure Series: The TRVL° Photography Adventure Series pushes beyond the familiar, taking photographers into rugged environments, unpredictable conditions, and wild corners of the world. These trips are built for those who crave challenge and authenticity. Capturing raw, unfiltered stories where comfort takes a back seat to discovery and experience.

What does mixed adventure mean?
The reason this is a mixed adventure is due to the fact that you get bit of comfort and lots of adventure on this trip.  In the cities, you’ll be treated to some extremely nice accommodation and really nice food.  But in the rural areas, you will be roughing it a little bit.

Fitness Level 3: Some longer walks, longer/bumpy drives in Tajikistan especially. But no hiking or seriously strenuous activity. High altitude will be the biggest obstacle, again in Tajik.

What is TRVL° All About?

In short, the motto is: Explore. Adventure. Capture.”

One of our goals is to create beautiful photos, yes.  And we will.  But our larger goal is to connect with the destination we travel, and to create memories.  We want our participants to feel empowered by the experience.  We want our participants to walk away feeling like they captured great images, and even better stories.

We work with local tour operators and photographers in order to empower the photography community in the destinations we visit.  And in working with these local photographers, we help connect our tour participants with the locals on a way that is so special.
