At TRVL° we are lucky to have a lot of pretty impressive friends.  One of those friends is Thomas Heaton – one of the world’s most renowned nature photographers.  In April 2026, Brendan van Son is going to be joined by Thomas Heaton on a brand new TRVL° Photography Adventure in India!

This trip has two goals: tigers and mountains.

We’ll start this adventure on an exclusive safari searching for tigers in Ranthambore National Park.  There is nothing more powerful than a widllife experience with these impressive animals.  It’s purely humbling.

What’s also humbling? Standing at the base of the highest mountains on the planet.  After our tiger safari experience, we’ll head to the north of India and photograph the mighty Himalayan mountains.

TRVL° Trip Style

Comfortable Adventure: The TRVL° Photography Comfort Series blends discovery with ease, offering journeys that immerse photographers in inspiring destinations without sacrificing rest or relaxation. These trips are designed for those who seek meaningful adventure with a gentler edge. Capturing remarkable stories while enjoying comfortable accommodations, smooth travel, and a pace that prioritises both creativity and comfort.

How is the Accommodation?
The accommodation in India is actually very good. You can expect a very high standard of both comfort and service.  Most of the accommodation falls in the 4-star category.

Fitness Level 2: There are some long drives. But the transport is comfortable. In the Himalayas we do have some altitude to deal with. But nothing extreme.

There are optional hikes/walks in the mountains section of the trip, but none are required and if your fitness is limited, we’ll find other options for you.

What is TRVL° All About?

Brendan van Son and Greg Snell – the founders of TRVL° – found themselves increasingly frustrated with the state of the travel photography tour/workshop industry.

Far too often, photography tours are built around the idea of simply taking people to famous photo spots and lining up photos for participants.

As avid adventurers and travellers, both Brendan and Greg felt like the travel experience was being sacrificed for a good photo – and not even a unique photo.  Thus, TRVL° Photography was formed to put the travel experience back into the travel photography tour world.

We put a massive emphasis on the travel experience. We connect you with locals, put you in experiences that allow you to soak up the culture, and we give you photography experiences that are more natural and real.

Do we go to epic photo locations? Of course so. But our main goal is to give you the travel experience of a lifetime, and through all that lead you to photo experiences that have far more value.
