To reserve a space on a tour with TRVL you must pay the deposit.  That deposit is generally 20% of the total tour cost.  TRVL reserves the right to cancel the booking and refund the deposit in cases where necessary.

Once the deposit is complete, you will receive written confirmation of your booking as well as a receipt of the payment.

The final payment is due 120 days prior to the start date of the tour.

The deposit for a tour is refundable with a 25% fee as long as the cancellation request is received by TRVL at least 120 days prior to a booked tour’s start date.  Alternatively, TRVL may offer to transfer your deposit to a future trip penalty free.

If you cancel a tour within 120 days of the tour’s start date, you will forfeit the deposit.

Invoices for final payments are issued 180 days before a tour’s start date with a due date of 120 days prior to a tour’s start date.  If the final payment is not made by 120 days before the tour’s start date, TRVL reserves the rights to cancel your booking and you will forfeit your deposit.

If you make a final payment, but need to cancel:

• If you cancel more than 120 days prior to the tour’s start date, you will receive a full refund – 10% of the total amount paid (including deposit).
• If you cancel between 120-90 days prior to your tour’s start date, you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount paid (including deposit).
• If you cancel within 90 days prior to the tour’s start date you will not receive a refund. 
• If you can be replaced by someone on the waiting list, you may be able to receive a refund minus a 10% fee.

We highly recommend that you purchase trip-cancellation insurance prior to making your final payment.

Our TRVL Photography tour leaders reserve the right to dismiss any participants during a trip if they:

• Commit illegal acts
• Are abusive (physically or verbally) to any other participants or otherwise.
• Abuse substances to a level where it affects the group.
• Uses racist, misogynist or otherwise abusive language – even in a joking manner.
• Is destructive to natural or cultural landscapes/artifacts.
• Puts the tour leader or other participants in dangerous situations.

If TRVL needs to cancel a trip for any reason, we will refund the trip cost in full.

However, we urge you to pay for trip cancellation insurance before making any final payments as TRVL will not cover other costs such as flights, accommodation, food on route to your destination.

Note that TRVL will only cancel tours in situations where completing a tour is impossible or unsafe. For example, a natural disaster, pandemic, or political situation.
