There’s nothing quite like wildlife photography in Botswana. Beyond the usual stops like Chobe NP, we’ll head deeper into Savuti, the Okavango Delta, and other wild places where the experience is raw, untamed, and unforgettable.

This trip is built for photographers who want to immerse themselves in one of the world’s most incredible wilderness areas. Expect close encounters, endless horizons, and the kind of safari moments you’ll never forget.

Yes, it’s 50% camping, it’s dry, it’s outdoors, it’s wild! BUT we’ve also built in time to recharge, relax, and enjoy the calm side of nature. Adventure, comfort, and creativity all in one journey. Welcome to TRVL° Botswana.

Once all together we’ll embark on a river safari on the Chobe. In the afternoon we’ll switch to our private safari vehicles and drive deeper into Chobe National Park. Camping in the wild this night.
Day 3: We’ll have an early morning safari followed by breakfast back at camp. We then start our crossing to Savuti – major lion and leopard territory. Wild camping again this night.
Day 4: We’ll be in Savuti all day. Staying at the same wild camp setup.
Day 5: After an early morning safari in Savuit we’ll push on towards the Okavango Delta and stay at a beautiful river Lodge.
Day 6: We’ll go on a river trip along the Okavango Delta and explore the area, again overnight at the river lodge.
Day 7: After a relaxing night, we’ll explore more of the Okavango Delta before driving to the town of Maun for a hotel stay. This is a drinking town with a tourist problem.
Day 8: After a nice night in town, we’ll go back into the wilds. This time, we’ll be exploring the incredible Nxai Pans National Park. We’ll be wild camping again on this night with some great opportunities for astrophotography.

TRVL° Trip Style

Adventure Series: The TRVL° Photography Adventure Series pushes beyond the familiar, taking photographers into rugged environments, unpredictable conditions, and wild corners of the world. These trips are built for those who crave challenge and authenticity. Capturing raw, unfiltered stories where comfort takes a back seat to discovery and experience.

This trip does have some challenges. The roads are bumpy and dusty, the heat can be intense and the accommodation is an interesting mix of wild camping, safari lodge, and hotel. However, there is not a lot of actual physical exercise required.

How is the Accommodation?

Camping always comes with its challenges, and this is not intended to be a luxury experience. That said, our camping nights are designed to balance adventure with comfort. Guests will stay in spacious walk-in safari tents equipped with mattresses, while our dedicated team of guides will handle all tent setup, meal preparation, and camp security—including safeguarding against wildlife that may pass nearby.

For this journey, the accommodation breakdown is as follows:

5 Nights Camping
2 Nights Safari Lodge
5 Nights Hotel

Fitness Level 2: There is no major walking or hiking on this trip.  The biggest challenge will be the heat and long bumpy (and dusty) drives in open safari vehicles.

What is TRVL° All About?

In short, the motto is simple: “Explore. Adventure. Capture.”

At its core, TRVL° is built around travel photography, with every itinerary thoughtfully designed to create strong photographic opportunities while also encouraging real connection with the places we visit. You will come away with compelling images, but more importantly, with meaningful experiences, lasting memories, and stories that go far beyond the frame. We focus on stepping into the unknown, discovering new places, and building a genuine connection with the world around you.

TRVL° is not a traditional photography workshop, and that is intentional. Our journeys balance guided photography moments with space for independent exploration, creativity, and discovery, allowing photography to become both a creative tool and a way of engaging more deeply with each destination. We work closely with local photographers, tour operators, and guides to support and uplift the communities we visit, creating authentic cultural connections for our participants. If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place.

If you’re curious to learn more about our philosophy & approach, you can visit our About Us page for more detailed information.
