TRVL° Trip Style
Comfortable Adventure: The TRVL° Photography Comfort Series blends discovery with ease, offering journeys that immerse photographers in inspiring destinations without sacrificing rest or relaxation. These trips are designed for those who seek meaningful adventure with a gentler edge. Capturing remarkable stories while enjoying comfortable accommodations, smooth travel, and a pace that prioritises both creativity and comfort.
How is the Accommodation? The accommodation in Ethiopia is generally quite nice. We’re in 3-star plus accommodation on this trip. There is an exception. On the Danakil Depression there is no accommodation available for 2 nights. As a result, we’ll set up a very cozy glamping set up. There’s no other way, and the locations are so incredible it’s worth it.
Fitness Level 2 – Moderate: There is no major walking on this trip. The biggest challenge will be the long bumpy drives in both the Omo Valley and the Danakil Depression.

Coffee Region Add-On
Want even more Ethiopia? We have an add-on to this trip if you’re interested.
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, so it would be a disservice to not take in some of the coffee region and the culture that surrounds it while here. As an added bonus, Brendan is a coffee roaster himself, and has deep insight into the coffee industry as well.
The add-on is 3 days.
Day 13 (November 16th) – We’ll take an early morning flight to Jimma. On arrival we will have a guided coffee plantation tour, meeting coffee farmers and learning about the cultivation and harvesting. We will also visit a coffee washing station to see the processing methods and enjoy a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony there. The day concludes with sunset photography opportunities in the surrounding landscape, followed by dinner and optional espresso shot.
Day 14 – Today we’ll drive to Bonga and explore the Kaffa Biosphere Reserve. Walk through the natural forest where wild Arabica coffee grows. Learn about the origin and history of Ethiopian coffee. Visit local communities and coffee cooperatives, again immersing ourselves in the coffee industry and history of the region.
Day 15 (November 18th) – After a fresh morning coffee, we’ll drive back to Jimma, fly back to Addis Ababa and say our final goodbyes.
The price for the add-on is an additional 1347€.

What is TRVL° All About?
In short, the motto is simple: “Explore. Adventure. Capture.”
At its core, TRVL° is built around travel photography, with every itinerary thoughtfully designed to create strong photographic opportunities while also encouraging real connection with the places we visit. You will come away with compelling images, but more importantly, with meaningful experiences, lasting memories, and stories that go far beyond the frame. We focus on stepping into the unknown, discovering new places, and building a genuine connection with the world around you.
TRVL° is not a traditional photography workshop, and that is intentional. Our journeys balance guided photography moments with space for independent exploration, creativity, and discovery, allowing photography to become both a creative tool and a way of engaging more deeply with each destination. We work closely with local photographers, tour operators, and guides to support and uplift the communities we visit, creating authentic cultural connections for our participants. If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place.
If you’re curious to learn more about our philosophy & approach, you can visit our About Us page for more detailed information.
