Got Questions?

Our trips sit within what we call “soft adventure” designed to balance meaningful exploration with comfort and accessibility. While every journey is different, we organise our experiences into two clear TRVL° trip styles outlined in the trip notes:

Adventure Series: The TRVL° Photography Adventure Series pushes beyond the familiar, taking photographers into rugged environments, unpredictable conditions, and wild corners of the world. These trips are built for those who crave challenge and authenticity, capturing raw, unfiltered stories where comfort takes a back seat to discovery and experience.

Challenges may come in many forms. They are not always physical. They can include long and bumpy 4×4 journeys, high-altitude environments, remote locations, or accommodation that is simple and a little rough around the edges. The emphasis is always on immersion, resilience, and access to extraordinary places.

Comfort Series: The TRVL° Photography Comfort Series blends discovery with ease, offering journeys that immerse photographers in inspiring destinations without sacrificing rest or relaxation. These trips are designed for those who seek meaningful adventure with a gentler edge, capturing remarkable stories while enjoying comfortable accommodations, smooth travel, and a pace that prioritises both creativity and comfort.

Once your booking is complete, we will confirm your spot on the TRVL° Photography adventure.

In your confirmation email, we will outline the next steps and what you can expect moving forward. For trips scheduled further in advance, often up to one year(+) ahead, we will typically provide a clear timeline for when you can expect more detailed information and updates.

If your trip is approaching soon, you may instead receive a comprehensive Welcome Pack right away. This can include everything you need to prepare, such as guidance on booking flights, recommendations for pre-tour accommodation, and detailed packing lists.

If for any reason if you have any questions about your booking you can always contact us directly via email 📧 info (at) trvlphotography (dot) com.

Before you book any one of our trips, you should read over our terms and conditions by following this link.

Yes. A requirement for joining any TRVL° Photography trip is that you hold valid travel health insurance. Your policy must include cover for medical expenses and accidents, and in some cases, evacuation cover depending on the nature and location of the trip.

We recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to ensure your policy meets these requirements. If you need guidance, feel free to reach out and we can suggest suitable providers or help point you in the right direction.

There is no upper age limit for joining a TRVL° Photography trip. If you feel healthy and fit enough to take part in the experience, you are very welcome.

If you are under 18 years old, you must be accompanied by an adult family member for the duration of the trip.

Once you have booked your spot, we will be in touch with detailed information about your specific adventure, including our recommendations for booking flights.

Please wait for our confirmation before arranging any flights, as we will let you know when it is appropriate to go ahead and book.

Please refer to the individual trip information for details on who will be leading each journey. In most cases, either Brendan or Greg will be present on a trip, although it is uncommon for both to join the same departure.

In some instances, future trips may be led by other professional photographers, meaning neither Brendan nor Greg will be on location. The trip notes will always clearly outline your dedicated adventure photography leader for each specific journey.

Each TRVL° trip includes a fitness level rating to help you understand how physically demanding the experience may be. This is simply a guide to help you choose the right adventure for your comfort and ability.

We rate our trips from 1 (least demanding) to 5 (most demanding):

Level 1 – Easy:

Suitable for almost anyone. There is very little walking involved and no strenuous physical activity.

Level 2 – Moderate:

Expect some longer walks and extended journeys on bumpy or uneven roads. There is no hiking or seriously strenuous activity. In some destinations, high altitude or excessive heat may be the main physical considerations.

Level 3 – Moderate to Active:

This level includes more walking and light hiking than our other adventures. You can expect time spent exploring on foot in rural environments, which may include uneven, grassy, or muddy terrain. There may also be early morning excursions, including optional sunrise hikes on certain trips.

For example, in South China there are optional hikes ranging from approximately 700 to 1,500 steps. For those who prefer not to hike, there are often nearby viewpoints or alternative locations where you can photograph the same landscapes in a more relaxed setting.

Overall, the main physical factor on these trips is typically short hikes to viewpoints and time spent moving through varied terrain, rather than sustained or intense exertion.

Level 4 – Demanding:

Significant hiking and regular physical activity are involved. A good level of fitness is required to fully enjoy the experience. We do not currently have any trips in this category.

Level 5 – Extreme:

Designed for highly active travellers. These trips involve sustained and demanding physical activity in challenging environments. An example would be the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, which requires a high level of fitness and experience in strenuous conditions.

We do not currently offer trips at this level, although we are considering introducing an Annapurna Circuit Photography expedition in the future.
